Right now animation is exactly at the stage where his character finally accepts the facts of transmigration and turns from whining to absolute shamelessness. Whole thing is Konosuba positively shameless, except shamelessness in Konosuba cannot even begin to compare.

"I upset..." is extremely bad steal of "I don't want to defy heavens" novel. You could as well say first part of plot was copy/paste and find/replace while later when stories diverge, it is obvious how pathetic IUMOC is compared to IDWTDH. Problem with IDWTDH is that at 2/3 completely loses shameless and funny tone.

Sword Immortal goes only better and better on the other hand. There are some plot holes due to sad factor that author actually did the stupid thing in the middle where he was asking his patrons how they wish story to progress which diminishes value a lot. But, later regains tempo and fixes some blunders. Seriously, comments like "from now on, you'll be my... half-brother and if I eat meat, you'll drink soup" are almost infinite. Everything is so fucking shameless, lol. Enemies, gods, servants, pets, no one is exception

You got me super hyped and Sword Immortal. I haven't read of the books so can't really comment on the plot beyond what I've watched. I will say that I used to hate CG and was put off watching it until I kinda forced myself to watch something - consumed so much I can't even remember. Best decision I've ever made.

Usually, reincarnators begin in some trash body with infinite potential because former owner wasn't able to go to the limits so much beyond everyone and reincarnator is simply not confined to norms. And second thing is that they always get so called golden finger, aka. some OP item or inheritance.

Lol, not only he is former virgin game otaku (virgin to the point where he actually thinks for a long time that sex is special kind of martial arts combat because he accidentally got martial arts version skill like kamasutra. Sex for him is all about the winning the wrestling match), he is reincarnated into body of someone with emperor certified brain damage with only one super power and that is being most beautiful guy. And these three superimpose one over another. And the item he got... the phone although it allows super fast progress, it is more like a curse than benefit most of the time. With some exceptions it is uncontrollable, unreliable and expensive as shit. You can probably imagine how that kind of superhero works ;) Animation is exactly at the spot where he will start the path... the tournament is not over yet, be prepared for pleasant surprise in next episode.
